[LM_NET] Playaways vs other formats

Why would one want to purchase a title on playaway that can be purchased in
digital format for a lot less, and loaded onto a regular mp3 player?  As
long as it is only on one mp3 player at a time, it is not a usage
violation.  And mp3 players are so cheap!  I guess I could see potential
problems with kids misusing them, but that is a problem with any media
(including books)
