We just bought a few new Follett scanners for inventory ($399), and one of our aides (an adult) dropped it today and broke off the plastic piece inside the base that holds the screw that holds it together, so we can tape it up, but that will be the only way it can be used. Has anyone else experienced this? I've dropped them before, but nothing happened, and so has a colleague of mine, who is considering buying the new ones, but if this is a problem, maybe she shouldn't. Does anyone have any experience with the new models breaking easily? TIA! Tish Carpinelli, Media Specialist Lower Cape May Regional H.S.
