[LM_NET] Media Center Paraprofessoinals Cut

Our Board of Education voted this week to cut all the media center paraprofessional 
positions in our county.  All of our schools have from 550 to 2000 students per 
school.  There are two media specialists at the high schools but the elementary and 
middle schools have only one media specialist per school.  These media 
specialists are trying to figure out how they are going to function with only one 
person in the media center.
 
If any of you have current information we could use to present to the Board to show 
the value of paraprofessionals (or media clerks) in the media center, please let me 
know.
 
Also do any of you work at a school where there is only one person (either 
para/clerk or media specialist/librarian) working in the media center?
