Teen Tech Week is here!

We hope you're as excited about this year's celebration as we are! As
you offer events this week, remember to check out the Teen Tech Week Web
site, www.ala.org/teentechweek:

*You'll find two surveys for your teens to take, one from SmartGirl.org
on teens' tech habits and one from YALSA, where your teens will be able
to pick next year's theme! Both are right on the homepage at
www.ala.org/teentechweek.

*Speaking of teens, remind them that the Promotional Song contest ends
on Saturday! Teens should have their songs uploaded to archive.org with
a tag of "ttw08" by midnight on Saturday, March 8. Complete details,
plus an entry form, are available at
www.ala.org/ala/yalsa/teentechweek/ttw08/contests/contests.cfm.

*Planning a gaming or podcasting event? Then you'll definitely want to
see the excellent tips in our newest Tech Guides on Gaming and
Podcasting at
www.ala.org/ala/yalsa/teentechweek/ttw08/resourcesabcd/resources.cfm

*Learn more about the new D&D Interactive and how you can use it in your
library with a special Tech Guide from TTW Corporate Sponsor Dungeons &
Dragons at
www.ala.org/ala/yalsa/teentechweek/ttw08/resourcesabcd/techguide_dnd.pdf
.

*Tell us what you're doing at the Teen Tech Week Wiki,
http://wikis.ala.org/yalsa/index.php/Tune_In_%40_Your_Library_resources.

*On Thursday, join Promotional Partner Tutor.com for a FREE webinar on
using Live Homework Help, featuring Judy Nelson, youth services
coordinator, Pierce County Library System, and past president of YALSA;
Sheri Skuja, youth services librarian, Pierce County Library System; and
Susan Hamilton, west coast sales director, Tutor.com. To sign up and
learn more, visit www.tutor.com/ttw.

*Finally, Teen Tech Week doesn't really end on Saturday! Let us know
about your tech offerings at our Wiki
(http://wikis.ala.org/yalsa/index.php/Main_Page#Technology). And as you
plan events through the year, find some great ideas from Get Connected:
Tech Programs for Teens by RoseMary Honnold for YALSA (Neal-Schuman,
2007). Learn more at
http://www.ala.org/ala/yalsa/teentechweek/ttw08/products/products.cfm#bo
oks.
