Dear members, I received several responses to my request for an easy to use timeline generating program. Thanks to all who responded. I would direct anyone interested in this topic to go to http://www.shambles.net/pages/school/timelines/. This site offers lots of possibilities. Although I started out wanting something collaborative, I found xtimeline.com to be balky and tricky to use. The one I've settled on (http://www.readwritethink.org//materials/timeline/) is simple and effective, which outweighs the fact that it must be completed in one sitting by an individual. Thanks again for everyone's input. Marie A.
