Actually two questions: 1. Is it legal for a teacher to direct the downloading of lyrics for the purpose of creating curriculum-related songs to be performed in class? The assignment: write a song about Pi and how it works using someone else's music. Thanks folks. The websites I have checked about this are unclear about using music in this way for educational purposes. 2. Does Fair Use cover this assignment adequately? Noël S.
