Hi all, I hope you can help me on a strange quest for school librarians. My second-grade neice is about to be removed from her public school to be home schooled. She has tourette's syndrome, and her symptoms are becoming out of her control. Her parents and physician have decided not to increase her medications. It is just too distracting for the other students in her classroom, but she is bright and would not be well served by a special ed situation. I am in search of books for children about being home schooled, or stories about home schooled children. All I have been able to find are books intended for parents. Please respond off list. Any suggestions are appreciated!
