[LM_NET] OT: Driving Middle East to Europe - anyone done such a road trip?

Looking for any *useful tips or advice on driving from the Middle East to
Europe*.
Maybe some Brits have done this kind of road trip?? Any "unique" places
other than the classics like Petra?

Family of 4 (kids are 11 and 8) - leaving Kuwait in June. We can take 3 to 4
weeks.
Through Saudi, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, maybe Greece/Macedonia or Bulgaria to
our destination of Belgrade, Serbia.

We have all the paperwork done...now we need to think about the actual road
trip.
We especially need to know about any border issues (within the last year) as
rules change.
