Please spread the word that there is an opening for a K-2 librarian in the North Rose-Wolcott School District. This is a new position. The deadline for application WAS May 2nd, but the superintendent spoke at our faculty meeting yesterday afternoon, said there had been only one applicant, and asked for my assistance. So, if you want more information, go to our school website http://www.nrwcs.org <http://www.nrwcs.org/> , go to the district menu and click on employment opportunities. The opening is no longer listed, but other information is available. The phone number for contacting the superintendent, Mrs. Lucinda Miner, is 315-594-3141. There are four buildings in the N. Rose-Wolcott District (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12). For many, many years one librarian has covered grades K thru 5. With our district emphasis on literacy, we finally managed to convince people that a librarian in each building is a necessity. AND, our superintendent is a proven supporter of libraries. She won the Administrator of the Year Award several years ago when she was the superintendent at Sodus. NRW is a pretty good district in which to be a librarian. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to call and ask me.
