[LM_NET] Playaways & jackbox

Has anyone successfully used a Playaway through a jackbox and headphones?
I'm finding that it plays but skips constantly so that the kids can't
listen to it. I've tried different head phones and different jack boxes
and they all do the same thing. I did not get any solution from the
manufacturer or Recorded books (where I purchased them). I contacted the
distributor of the jackbox (School Specialty) but no one ever got back to
me and, at this time of the year, the issue fell by the wayside. So,
before I start the search again I thought I'd try the collective wisdom.
