My fifth grade teachers are looking for a novel study in the genre of historical fiction. They would like it to tie with their history learning objectives (SOL's if you are a Virginian). They learn about American history from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, Reconstruction and government. Again, any successful suggestions are appreciated. I have recommended Elijah of Buxton, by Christopher Paul Curtis. The fourth grade already reads Blood on the River by Carbone. Thanks! theresa harris glen allen elem. glen allen, VA -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Linda Lucke <llucke@D70SCHOOLS.ORG> > Hi everybody, > We have some 5th grade teachers that are wanting some suggestions for > novel that have worked well for grade level novel studies for 5th > grade.
