Subject: [LM_NET] Target: Promethean Board

Hello,

We are updating our school library and I want to know if people with
Promethean Boards like them.
What are the advantages over a Smart Board?
What are the limitations?
Do you have any other technology that you think is fantastic?

Thank you,

Many people were curious about Promethean Boards and asked for a 'Hit'.
These were the two best responses. The second response will take you to a
website that has some wonderful information for anyone who is curious to
learn more.

1. Our K-12 district recently reevaluated our choice of SMART vs
Promethiean vs Mimeo

interactive white boards. The result was overwhelming in favor of SMART.
The first

issue was the SMART software. The next were hardware issues....you must
use a pen

with a Promethean Board which is not the case with SMART. The Promethean
Board is a

very hard and noisy surface. The SMART is not. SMART requires vendors and

technicians to complete extensive training which only benefits their
clients. We

have been very happy with our SMART choice.
