My understanding, according to a notice in our Action Line, is that political campaigns and politicians are exempt. Paula Paula du Feu Director of the Library St. Thomas Epsicopal Parish School Coral Gables. FL 33156 -----Original Message----- From: School Library Media & Network Communications [mailto:LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU] On Behalf Of Beth Davis Sent: Monday, November 03, 2008 1:08 PM To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU Subject: OT- calls from candidates This is off-topic but only the great minds of the universe can answer my question. A while back my husband and I listed all our numbers on the Do Not Call List. Recently our home has been invaded by calls from candidates either asking for our vote or trashing their opponent. We even received a call Saturday morning and another on SUNDAY MORNING. We are ticky with our family time, as we get little enough as it is. Is it legal for these people to invade our homes and our lives via the phone even when we are on the Do Not Call List? Can we report them? Even if I don't answer they go right along and take up my answering machine space with their speil. I already REFUSE to vote for anyone who has called my home when I have not asked them to do so. What is your take on this issue?
