To coincide with the American Library Association's National Gaming Day on November 15, the November Surf Report from Wisconsin ECB focuses on games. Serious games are challenging computer games designed to teach complex concepts using the technology and design principles of commercial video games. We point you to a number of games that teach concepts in science, social studies, health and other subject areas. These games are mostly free, but you will need to download software to your computer and test the programs to see if they meet your needs. We have also included a number of "less serious" games that can be played directly online for those looking for simpler activities. http://explore.ecb.org/surf/surf_report?subject=108 Happy surfing!
