Have you tried librarything.com? I know of a church around here that uses
it for their library, and I have used it to catalog my own books here at
home!
It's free for up to 250 books (?something like that) and then a very small
fee ($25-35??) for a "lifetime" membership, which lets you catalog as many
books as you want. I don't know how many books you are talking about in
this church library, but I have over 1600 books in my own personal
collection, and have had no problems with a collection that size.
There is a search capacity, of course, but all sorts of other features as
well. They seem to keep adding new ones!
Hope this helps.

Subject: GEN: Library catalogs

Good Morning Everyone,

I have a question and I am hoping that I can get some help here. I was
asked by one of the teachers at my school if I knew of any databases that
would be good to use in a church library. Her mother runs the library at
her church and they want to start actually cataloging their collection of
books. However, she said the collection is small to medium and so she
wanted to know if there were any low cost catalog databases out there that
would be a good fit for this type of library. I can only think of the main
ones like Follet, Destiny, Alexandria, etc. But, I know there must be
others that are a bit lower maintenance.

If anyone knows of any and can suggest some to me, I would be so grateful.
I always know this is the best place to come for these types of questions.
You guys are the best!

Thanks for all the help in advance.

Stephanie
