Hello Friends,

I was approached recently by a 7th grade social studies teacher who I have been
trying to get into the library for years to do some kind of project! There must be
some district initiative now because all of a sudden he approached me and NEEDS to
get in the library for research. Below he outlines what he is looking to do with
his students.....any ideas for sources. He indicates he "wants to do a project on
primary and secondary sources," so I feel like I am missing something......any
ideas to assist me in providing him with the resources he needs---would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for any advice/assistance/suggestions you can offer.

Best regards,

I would like to?do a project on primary and secondary sources.? I am thinking about
giving them a?few choices:?
1).? Early Colonization of North America,? What major empires (France, England,
Dutch, etc) were colonizing in N.A., what areas?and what cultures were instituted
in those areas.?

2).??How did England rise to power in the N.A., who is?responsible for establishing
an empire in?N.A. (who's who) and how were the original 13 colonies?established.?

3).? What were?the?causes of the American Revolution, was revolution necessary?and
what was the outcome.?

?

Requirements for Regents:? 5 body paragraph (Intro, 3 body, Concl) Minimum 1
primary & 1 secondary per paragraph

Requirements for Honors:? 6-7 Body paragraph (Intro, 4-5 body, concl) Minimum 2
primary & 2 Secondary per paragraph?
