[LM_NET] HIT: Middle Grades books on Australia/Aborigines

Here are the responses I got to my request for novels to tie in to the 6th grade 
social studies lessons on Australia.  Thanks to those who responded.


John Marsden's Tomorrow When the War Began is very good, but it does have some 
implied sex in it.

Jackie French books are fantastic!  She has many historical fiction books
about different cultures/time periods. http://www.jackiefrench.com/ 

There is a good series called My Story. They are written by different
authors and cover different aspects of Australian history. They are written
in a journal form, and seen through the eyes of child.
