Fellow book gurus-- Our choir teacher has requested help with sheet music check out. We were discussing some possibilities at lunch today for a way to streamline reclamation of materials. Handing them out isn't a problem, getting them back is. I was considering a blanket record called "Choir Music" with a set of barcodes that targeted her specific materials and an average replacement cost. This would allow her to check out the materials out and take advantage of our overdue billing and school check-out policies. I could then just print sheets of generic bar-codes for her to slap on sheet music. I wonder if you've got any experiences you could share? We're discussing now and maybe implementing in spring.
