Hello! I am a brand new high school librarian (today was my first day!), but several students have already "warned" me about a potential problem. Our 7th - 9th grade use the AR program, but a vast majority of the books in the library are at lower book levels (between 4-6.5) and they can't find anything that they want to read. The books that we have that are at the higher levels often don't appeal to a majority of the students (i.e. the classics). I would appreciate any suggestions for AR books above a 6.5 reading level that have proven popular with students! Thanks!
