Here was my original post: Excuse my ignorance on this. My first time working in an non-automated library. Should the catalog have cards for EACH copy of the same title? I received many helpful responses, all of which told me that I only need on card for each title that is the same edition and the same format. Just indicate the number of copies on the shelf list, and label the check out cards as c.1, c.2, etc. Thanks for the speedy and helpful responses. No such thing as a dumb question, I guess!
