I have a teacher looking for a television show she saw over the summer
that had a segment on growth disorders in children. She thinks it was a
Frontline or Dateline show titled "Medical Miracles," and one of the
stories was about a young child who had grown extremely tall at a very
young age. The only way the doctors could slow the child's growth was
to trigger the early onset of puberty with hormone therapy. I have
searched Frontline, Dateline, PBS, YouTube, and the web for shows on
gigantism, growth disorders, pituitary disorders, and hyperthyroidism,
and have come up blank. Does anyone remember seeing such a show, and if
so, can you tell me where to purchase a video or transcript?
