Hi All, Due to scheduling changes this year, I only have my students for two marking periods at a time or 17-18 teachable weeks. What I am looking for are the top ten or so essential library skills that 2nd and 3rd grade students should learn. Unfortunately, the library curriculum is out of date so I am hoping that I can get some great answers from this group. My goal is to alternate library skills lessons one week with picture book/literacy lessons the next since I only have 40 minute periods (which also need to include book selection). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
