I have a sixth grader who came in looking for "1984" and when it wasn't available he wanted something similar. I am not sure what to offer him. I gave him "No Child's Game" but he brought it back because the government wasn't the focus or a big piece in the story. I offered him "The Boy Who Dared" but he didn't want to try it because it was centered around WWII which he has read a lot of. Anyway, I was hoping to tap the collective brain for any stories that might come to mind.
