Hi - I just heard last night that San Francisco State Univ is rebuilding their library and will include an automated book retrieval system instead of having stacks (or maybe it will be part stacks, part RFID bins). Has anyone heard of a system like this - are other university libraries going this route? It was cause for animated conversation during last night's evening walk! Here's a link to the site, though it only mentions the system without saying anything about it: http://www.library.sfsu.edu/about/building/index.php Cathy ----------- Cathy Rettberg Head Librarian, Menlo School Atherton, CA crettberg@menloschool.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
