Dear Kimberley
>> A colleague has handed me a list of about 30 youtube videos he wants to
>> use for a preentation to a class. He wants to imbed the videos in a
>> powerpoint slide show and have them ready to click on a start place when he
>> gets to that spot in his presentation

Whether you receive the instructions or not, you need to refer your colleague to
the Terms and
Conditions of using YouTube videos, especially those about the sort of use he is
envisaging which
appear to be beyond private viewing online,. YouTube makes it clear that they do
not own the
copyright of the uploaded clips. If the clip is licensed under Creative Commons
there is more leeway
but he should check first.
