Morning All - I recently learned that one of our HS English teachers is being reassigned as Reading Specialist for next year. We are definitely in need of someone to help those students who are so far behind so this is very good news! She is already a great library supporter and often asks for my input regarding book suggestions for summer reading and reluctant readers. She has graciously asked me to sit in on a strategy meeting with her, the prinicpal and guidance. I'm thrilled to be included obviously and I would like to offer her as much support as I can. With all that being said, in what ways do you as a librarian help support a reading intervention program within your high schools. I'm looking for anything beyond the obvious like suggesting books, ordering books, audiobooks. I'm open to any and all suggestions as I know she is as well.
