[LM_NET] Ellen Hopkins

Some of my Middle School boys and girls are asking for books by ellen Hopkins. 
Particularly the ones with one word titles like Impluse, Burned, Crank, etc. 
 
I am going to check out some from our University Library to read but in the 
meantime, I wanted some imput from you who are familiar with the books.
 
I have read reviews and realize they deal with drugs, homosexuality, mental 
illnesses etc. Is it done in a manner that could make it MS reading b/c they love 
that kind of stuff?
