I highly recommend Everything on a Waffle by Peggy Horvath! Also consider Daphne's
Book by Mary Downing Hahn.
Recently finished Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier (and loved it), and am now
reading, among other books, its sequel, Cybele's Secret.
