[LM_NET] Target: Cultural Fiction for 6th grade boys

Our sixth grade teachers offer a cultural unit with lots of book choices including 
Parvana's Journey, Little Cricket etc.  We want to add more book choices to this 
theme but are having difficultly finding books that appeal to boys and have a boy 
as the main character.  I am wondering if any of you can think of books that might 
be good to consider.  The story should be set in the present or not too distant 
past.  For example, A Single Shard would not work for this particular unit because 
of the setting.
