Hi All, Sell it as a whole school activity to enhance literacy outcomes
across the school - every day for 15 mins everyone downs tools including
admin and office staff, canteen and volunteers, teachers and students
and everyone finds a seat and reads.
Such powerful role modelling!
:)

Hi Megan - I was going to send you a resounding no and also ask when you
might have time, but then I saw you were a High School Media Specialist
and I'm elementary so I wasn't sure. Then I read Vicki's post and she
mentions all of the reasons I would give. Unless you are reading to
prep for a lesson, that time is for lesson planning and collaboration.
I think even just walking around your building talking with colleagues,
seeing if anyone needs your help with tech or whatever, or even working
on your next book order would each be a much better use of your time!
