Where have I been (on another planet?) that I haven't read this until now! 
Wow - just finished this title yesterday and it's still with me. Paced at 
break-neck speed, violent, dystopian, humorous at times, great voice & unusual 
style......
I'll refer you to this site for a better review and plenty of commentary, 
including insightful thoughts from Tamora Pierce.
