Hi, In the new 7th edition of the MLA Handbook, it states that students should include URLs as "supplementary information only when the reader probably cannot locate the source without it or when your instructor requires it." So, the question then becomes - what are you doing in your schools? Are you maintaining the requirement that students include the URL in their Works Cited pages or leaving it to the discretion of the teacher? Do you have a school-wide policy? I have to revise our guidelines and am wondering how other schools are handling this?
