Hi, All,

Would Jill Suarez and “A. Brewster” please contact me off list? Both are
contributors to the Teacher Tube group. Jill created the trailer for RULES
by Cynthia Lord and A. Brewster created the trailer for PLAYING WITH MATCHES
by Brian Katcher. (By the way, the author Brian Katcher, commented on the
trailer that’s embedded on my high school blog!
http://pettushs.blogspot.com/2009/08/playing-with-matches-by-brian-katcher.html)

*Again, if Jill Suarez and A. Brewster could contact me that would be great.
*

If you haven’t joined the TT group, go join! We’re up to 877 members and
growing by about a dozen every day. Here are the directions for
joining/posting, as well as for embedding the trailers to your own
websites/blogs:

*To join Teacher Tube:*

1. Go to http://teachertube.com

2. Register as a member of Teacher Tube if you do not already have an
account.

3. Follow the directions for uploading your book trailer, but clicking
on “Upload Video.” You will be given notification that your video will be
reviewed by the staff at Teacher Tube within 24 hours. (You MUST upload the
video to your main account, before adding it to the group.)

*To Join Book Trailers for All:*

1. The link to the group is:
http://teachertube.com/members/groupHome.php?group_id=booktrailersforall(You
can also find us by typing in “Book Trailers for All” and selecting
“Groups” in the drop down menu)

2. Request to join and wait to be approved. (I am currently checking for
new members twice a day)

3. Once you are approved, return to the group and add your video by
following the steps on the group page.

Once you are a member of the group, select a video you would like to view.
Embedding gets a little tricky, because the HTML code they use doesn’t seem
to work. I figured out the code though, and have made it work—hopefully I
can explain it. The code is below. You will need to copy it, and paste it
into your HTML spot on your blog, then change the video number, which can be
found in the code under the video on Teacher Tube. (The code below has the
video number 119645—that’s what you’ll need to change each time you embed a
new video) Here’s the code for embedding:

<embed src="http://www.teachertube.com/embed/player.swf" width="470"
height="260" bgcolor="undefined" allowscriptaccess="always"
allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="file=
http://www.teachertube.com/embedFLV.php?pg=video_119645&menu=false&frontcolor=ffffff&lightcolor=FF0000&logo=http://www.teachertube.com/www3/images/greylogo.swf&skin=http://www.teachertube.com/embed/overlay.swf&volume=80&controlbar=over&displayclick=link&viral.link=http://www.teachertube.com/viewVideo.php?video_id=119645&stretching=exactfit&plugins=viral-1&viral.callout=none&viral.onpause=false"
