asked to post a hit, so here it is.
Original Question
I am wondering if anyone can recommend a magazine jobber. The jobber our district
is currently has been passing along price increases to magazines subscriptions
during the year. We would like to find a jobber that charges a flat rate for the
year's subscriptions without additional charges.

Discount Magazines
I use Discount Magazines and have been doing so for several years. They have been
quick to correct errors, and there have been almost none, and once we pay the
invoice for the year, that's it until the next year. They send renewal forms in the
spring showing the magazines to which you currently subscribe with a total for the
next year, assuming you wish to renew all. Excellent email service.

I have had a lot of luck with Discount Magazines. They are always much cheaper
than any other quote i receive from other jobbers. The contacts name is Jason and

For years, I successfully ordered and save a lot of money from Discount
Magazine Service and Subscription Services of America. Much less cost than
Demco or EBSCO, etc.
PMA
I have been pleased with PMA, but last week I asked them to fax me my list and they
haven't. I called again today and hopefully they will. I just thought I would do
a little comparison shopping while it was on my mind. I have heard that WT Cox is
another. I'm going to see which one I save the most money with. (Was that last
sentence grammatically correct??)
I wanted to follow up....
I got a quote from both WT Cox and PMA (my original company). PMA beat
Cox by at least $100. Thought I would share!

Amazon
I don't use a "jobber" so to speak, but do use amazon.com--primarily
because their cost is so reasonable vs a jobber's!
We ordered through Amazon this year and it was VERY cheap and has worked great!
No Jobber
I don't use a magazine jobber, because I can get better prices by ordering
directly. I've had instances where I've ordered a 3-year subscription (at a nice
discount) and then had the cover price increase twice during that term. The
magazine didn't ask for more money. They agreed to deliver the magazine for three
years for a certain price, and that's what they had to do.
