[LM_NET] TAR: MID Research Papers

Good Morning Everyone!

All 7th graders our school complete a research paper. I  teach the  
students  citations, works cited page, plagiarism, web site  
evaluation, and basic resource location. The teachers go over the rest  
of the paper with the students. The students have about 5-6 days of  
research in the library for books and internet.

My question is how formal are other research projects for this level?  
Do you or your teacher's still teach bibliography cards, note cards,  
etc..? Of course the students still need to complete an outline, but  
how are your schools instructing on the note taking process and bib  
cards?

I am looking for some advice from both the middle school level and  
high school level.
