[LM_NET] HIT: Student Animoto Accounts

Thank you to everyone who replied to my question regarding students using
Animoto!



Many people asked for a HIT, so here is what I learned about creating
student accounts in Animoto.



When you receive your education account from Animoto, a code is provided for
students to enter when they create their OWN accounts at Animoto.  When they
set up their account with the code, they then have the capability to make
unlimited full-length videos.  Remember, students need to be 13 to create an
account at Animoto.



For students who are younger or for those of you who want to have more
control of your students’ accounts, the following directions were provided
by a member of the LM_Net community.



“You can't create multiple accounts with different emails.  However, if you
create a gmail account you can fake it.

Animoto lets you add a plus sign and words or numbers to a gmail address to
make it unique.  So for my animoto accounts I made
nscdsaminoto+1@gmail.com<nscdsaminoto%2B1@gmail.com>,
nscdsanimoto+2@gmail.com <nscdsanimoto%2B2@gmail.com> and so on.  All emails
for those accounts went just to nscdsanimoto@gmail.com, which I controlled.
In this way students could have their own accounts, which I still
controlled.”
