For a list of resources of the causes of the Civil War you might want to search the Virtual Learning Resources Center (http://www.virtuallrc.com). I searched its American History section using the term 'causes of the Civil War' and received a number of relevant hits. The Virtual LRC is both a human-edited directory and a meta-search engine that searches exclusively information sites previously recommended by teachers, librarians, and library and educational consortia world-wide.
