Thanks to all of you who sent answers to my query. Here are the results:

Did you look into Digital Wish? They have a thing right now where you can buy I
Flip camera & get a second one free. It's not the HD version of the Flip, but I
ordered some for our library.

---------------------------------------------------

We use the FLIP Cameras and love them. I have 7 and lend them out all the time.
The kids love working with them, and they are pretty durable. Be sure to download
the software directly from the website, as there are some glitches with the
cameras. If done right, you can edit with Garage Band and Movie Maker

--------------------------------------------------------------

We use them for everything all the time. Try here:

------------------------------------------------------------

the flip is a good choice. We ordered 10 and have teachers checking them out all
the time for projects. They are $139.99 from Follett.

I'd definitely get Flips....easy, affordable, doesn't use any type of card or
formatting...
You can find them in Titlewave through Follett

------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can get the FLIP at Wal Mart for around 150.00. Well worth the price!

----------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know if this will work for you, but we just ordered some iPod nanos that
have the video recording feature. They also do audio recording so you can do
podcasts or videocasts. We plan to let teachers and students use them for projects.

I work here at MS and at a HS library. I just got 2 FLIP cameras for the price of
one from a program they run.

Here’s the link: http://www.digitalwish.com/dw/digitalwish/product?id=4310

And schools, PTAs, etc. qualify.

Since the Flips arrived, they’ve been checked out. We got them after doing
considerable research. We also have a MiniDV camera but b/c of platform issues w/
computers the Flips are easier.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From what I’ve heard the Flip Video would be perfect. I know they’re available
through Follett Library Resources Titlewave. And, here’s a website that lists
other vendors:
