This is what LM-Netters had to say about Teachers Pay Teachers: Schools are being informed that in most cases they own what teachers produce as parts of their jobs. Make sure that you have permission to sell your materials if they were created within the scope of your job, or you may owe all your profits to your employer. *** I am part of a weekly video production group - and my school always plays a patriotic song after the pledge. I bought 6 powerpoints for songs like "This Land is Your Land" for $1 each. I could have made the powerpoints, but wouldn't have had the beautiful pictures that they already had. I imported it into our show - added the music - and the wonderful pictures play along with the music for the entire school to enjoy. I'm happy with what I bought! *** I just discovered this site recently and so far have only used free lessons, but I've gotten some good stuff! *** I've used it to purchase things. If you do this, definitely look at the previews if there are any--it's like anything else, some of the stuff on there is really good, and some is junk. I keep thinking I need to put some of the things I've created on there, but I'm hesitant because I am such a borrower, and I don't always remember if it was my original idea or if I have someone else's lessons in my file. *** I'd never heard of it before, but I'd be concerned- in our contracts it states that all work product belongs to our school district which means that I can't re-sell something that I created for a class (at least I think that's what it means). *** I have personally used it. Most of the time I just look at the free sample pages to get ideas of something to do for a particular topic, but I have also purchased from there. Never sold though... I do like it and would use it again as appropriate. *** Thanks to all who responded.
