All my research shows that if you produce materials for your class then the
copyright is the property of your education authority, even if that material
is produced in your own time on your own equipment. (Australians see
http://www.smartcopying.edu.au/scw/go/pid/661 ) The fairness of that is a
debate for another day but I am seeking clarification about the production
of a presentation for conferences that shows the sorts of things that you
have been doing in your classroom.

Does the educational authority own this too or is it just the stuff you
actually use in your classroom?

Can you receive payment as a presenter of this material to the conference or
does any payment have to go to your educational authority? Or are you not
allowed to receive payment at all because you are already being paid by your
employer?

I am asking on behalf of some conference organisers not because of my
personal circumstances.

Appreciate any guidelines (and links) you can offer.
