[LM_NET] TAR: Elementary Classics

Does any one have a preferred publisher or edition of elementary classics?  I'm 
looking to replace some of our abridged versions (that are rather dry adaptations), 
but I want something that will actually appeal to my readers rather than continue 
to collect dust, as their predecessors have done.
 
Key things I'm looking for:
attractive, appealing cover
print that large enough and spaced out enough not to be overwhelming
good binding (obviously)
pictures (optional, but if included, I'd love something with modern renderings or 
quality paintings)
Here are some titles I'm considering for replacement:
Heidi
Black Beauty
Alice in Wonderland
Peter Pan
Sherlock Holmes
Little Women/Little Men
The Secret Garden
The Little Princess
Tom Sawyer
Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm
20K Leagues Under the Sea
The Three Muskateers
other recommendations?
