Michelle et al, I'm reading "The Help," by Kathryn Stockett, for a book club--it's fabulous so far, and I'm about 1/2 way through! I also brought home "Sent" because I loved "Found." I also ordered Mark Crilley's "Akiko and the Missing Misp" because I couldn't find it in local book stores. He's versatile and enjoyable to read, and my students love Akiko and Billy Clikk! I totally LOVE Wendy Mass, and will read anything by her. I think she's wonderful at finding unusual plots and settings for her very appealing and interesting characters. Have you read "A Mango Shaped Space?" It is wonderful and unique. If you like Tony Abbott, read "The Postcard"--very interesting sleuthing/family issues story. A memorable read. Keep posting! I'm going to try some of your titles. I just finished listening to "Every Soul a Star" by Wendy Mass. I just started listening to "The Rules of Survival" by Nancy Werlin. I hope to get to (audio) "If I Stay" by Gayle Forman, "Firegirl" by Tony Abbott. I am reading "Love You Hate You Miss You" by Elizabeth Scott. I am hoping to get to "Sent" by Margaret Peterson Haddix, "Becoming Chloe" by Catherine Ryan Hyde, "Leviathan" by Scott Westerfeld, "The Mondtrumologist" by William James Henry, "Everwild" by Neal Shusterman. That's my line up for now. Who knows how many I'll actually get to. I am being extremely optimistic! =] Michelle Michelle Levy Media Specialist Eton Academy 1755 Melton Birmingham, MI 48009 rylor4@gmail.com (home) mlevy@etonacademy.org (work) -----Original Message----- From: School Library Media & Network Communications [mailto:LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU] On Behalf Of Chuck Finnigan Sent: Tuesday, December 22, 2009 5:22 PM To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU Subject: SHARE: What are you reading over the break? Just wondering what you're all planning to read over the holidays. I'm delving into Iain Pears' 'An Instance of the Fingerpost' since the third 'Girl with...' of Larsson's trilogy won't be released until spring in this country. Bummer.
