While my preference for centers is that teachers send their students with something to do (presumably giving me a heads-up first), however what I have provided over the years are: 1) Book Award nominees reading center - several copies of all 20 titles and a "score card" for them to keep track of titles read and prepare for voting in February. 2) Listening center with books on tape and tape player 3) I-Spy center with books and magnifying glass 4) Computer catalog worksheet for 2nd graders 5) Dictionary center with worksheets 6) Almanac center with worksheets 7) Multi-source center -worksheet that hit 2 or more sources. I like the Magazine center concept and will develop that when I get back to school week after next. -- Marcia Russo Library/Media Specialist Laurel Hill Primary School Mt.
