[LM_NET] E-Reader

Hi,

My husband purchased a Sony ebook reader (PRS 600) as a gift for me for
Christmas.  I understand from his research that it can download books from
Google and the Sony bookstore.  He also says it has the most ³open² format
of all the readers for use with libraries, etc.  But when I look at Amazon
and Barnes and Noble, they each have their own proprietary ebook reader and
donıt support any others with the exception of PC, Mac, iPhone, and
Blackberryıs.

What is your opinion on ebook readers?  Should I exchange this for a
different model?  I was also hoping that it had a backlight for night time
reading but it sounds like most of the ebook readers donıt.
