[LM_NET] Reminder: Applications due Jan. 4 for YALSA's 2010 Symposium Stipend

Greetings!

 

Librarians and SLIS students could win a stipend for up to $1,000 to
cover travel to the next Young Adult Literature Symposium in
Albuquerque, N.M., Nov. 5-7, 2010, sponsored by the Young Adult Library
Services Association (YALSA).

 

YALSA will award two stipends of up to $1,000 to a YALSA member use
toward registration and travel to the 2010 symposium. One stipend will
support a YALSA member who works directly with young adults with one to
10 years' experience; the other will support a YALSA member seeking a
library science degree in an ALA-accredited master's program (the
student must be enrolled in library school at the time of the
symposium). 

 

Applications can be downloaded at www.ala.org/yalitsymposium and must be
sent electronically to yalsa@ala.org by 11:59 p.m. Central time on Jan.
4, 2010. Applicants will be notified of their status in March 2010.
