Happy New Year! First, thank you to everyone that helped me with my question on burning CDs from Audacity. The real problem was my CD drive is shot. I bought an external drive which works great. Now...I'm having a problem with the quality of the music I am transferring from the cassette tape to Audacity. When it is an instrumental tape, they come out ok but there is a disconcerting deep hum. That I can live with, but when I tried show tunes it was nothing but static and screeching. Anyone have any experience with this and know how I can improve things?
