¡I posted a "hit" but forgot to include the hit! ¡oops!

¡there are lots of different ways!

ORIGINAL TARGET:

how do you make Spanish exclamation points in ms word?

RESPONSES:

        Alt +   130     = é     Alt +   160     = á     Alt +   161     = í     Alt
+   162     = ó     Alt +   163     = ú     Alt
+       164     = ñ     Alt +   165     = Ñ     Alt +   168     = ¿     Alt +   173
+    = ¡

*****

Hold down the alt key and type in the #s 0161 ¡

*****

Ctrl + alt + shift + !

*****

Hold down the ALT key and then hit, in succession, 173 on your keypad.

*****

1. Insert > symbol, then find this symbol (it's 00A1), or
2. Alt + Ctrl + !, or
3. Tools > Language, set language to Spanish and it will do it
automatically at the beginning of a sentence (just like it knows when to
open quotes and close quotes in English)

*****

Search your computer for "character map".
Select the font you'd like to use;
Locate the spanish punctuation in the grid of choices;
Copy and paste into your document, then resize as needed.

*****

ALT + 173

*****

Use the option and exclamation point at the same time--at least on a
Mac. No need for the shift.

*****

ALT-0161
