I am wondering if any of you have ever sold books to your students for summer reading and could provide some advice. I have been asked (by my head of school) to take orders from the parents, purchase the books, then package them to give the students. Most of our teachers provide a list for the students to choose from. They are not all required to read the same books. Many years ago, the parents had a summer reading book fair, where a local book store brought in many of the books and the parents could come in and purchase them. I have never done anything like this except for when I've sold books for an author visit. This will all be done towards the end of the school year while I am trying to finish my inventory, get in all of the books and still have weekly library classes. If anyone has done something like this in the past, I would love any advice/suggestions on how to go about it. Thank you so much.
