[LM_NET] GEN: how do you train a library cat?

We are considering getting a library cat (kitten) and wondered how you folks
have gone about training the cat.   Specifically, how do you keep it from
running out the library doors?   Also, if you have a male cat, how do you
keep it from spraying?   Finally, I know some cats are more allergenic than
others - are long hairs less so than short hairs?
