Here's one more response that I just received for my Shmoop request. It's helpful, so I'm sending it after the hit: I had never heard of it, but went there because of your post. Sent the link to my English and social studies departments, and got two responses from teachers -- one enthusiastic and the other cautiously optimistic. In contrast to the other response you had, I thought that the informal tone made the material more accessible and appealing. I was less than thrilled with their citations of source material -- another unauthored URL doesn't strike me as an authoritative source. The writing coach and the stickies and quotes by theme were helpful, if not entirely terrific. I think students will like it. As one teacher said -- this seems more aimed at coaching than at cheating. We shall see. Tish Carpinelli, Media Specialist Lower Cape May Regional H.S.
